Thread regarding GlobalFoundries layoffs

My relationship with GF is purely transactional

I don't care at all anymore. If the company's leaders don't care about the rapidly sinking future of GF, why should we?
I used to be frustrated by all the wrong decisions of the leadership, but since I changed my attitude in general and decided that I am only here for the pay, the stress level became significantly lower.

Businesses are literally business. It's all about the money. Doesn't matter how you do or know. Company will get rid of you if it saves enough money. I've seen that happen here. Don't let managers trick you with that "we're family" bs. GF is a business. We don't work because the company is family. We work so we can feed our family. If I get a job offer with better pay or incentives I'm gone. Until that happens I'll come in, do my job, and just laugh to myself about how ridiculous our managements knee jerk decisions are.

Agree GF is terrible and we should run out soon. This place sucks.

Take your trade somewhere else if you think your time and effort isn't recognized. It's not great here but there are opportunities. It's what one makes of it.

Don't wallow yourself in depression or do silly things like quiet quitting. Invest in yourself and never stop hustling. Eventually, you'll be recognized whether it's at GF or somewhere else. 🥂

That should be POR.
Big bosses will throw us on the street and completely upend our families' lives just to improve some metric. They don't care about us at all, why should we?
Working to rule is the way
