Union Pacific fruit express has been around since 1906 UPFE Carmen did all of its own repairs on its refrigerated fleet the last heavy home shop was located in Pocatello Idaho through the 90s with over a hounded Union paying UPFE Carmen doing every aspect of repairs from wheels to under frame and exterior and interior body work it was closed in 2004 and all under frame and wheels was absorbed into the car department. The remaining remaining work was subcontracted and the last UPFE Carmen shipped to North Platte where they were promised jobs on a government subsidized cleaning track working on refrigerated cars the UPFE emblem was painted out and replaced with ARMN wile the work force dwindled to 39 in 2019 the cleaning track was shut down and subcontracted out cutting the UPFE Carmen work force in half leaving only fueling and refrigerated repairs to the remaining 18 UPFE Carmen in September of 2022 all UPFE operations where subcontracted causing the iconic UPFE company to come to a end.

Contract Pacific! Thats ingenious! The company will be non profitable w/ in 5 yrs. Only the contractors themselves will profit. Then tens of millions will be spent figuring out why contract pacific is failing.
