Layoffs...

Has anyone heard anything about what areas are next to be laid-off?

Field Sales are being closed looked at. There’s been some real reflection about what they actually do for the company. Also claims aren’t likely to survive for much longer. There is an off shore issue with some states from a licensing standpoint but they’re planning on claims being more of an offshore unit moving forward.

@OP+1jPcmxuF Great point. Field sales leaders really bring nothing to the table. However, they still need field sales leaders to process agency closings. Moreover, field sales leadership roles are great place to hide minority candidates that are not very qualified insurance professionals.

Why can’t the fire all the Field sales leaders across the country. They are all useless

The writing is on the wall. With Florida, NY, LA, and CA being shut down with commercial business, it would seem like the end is near.

The people that support the agency force that have never sold a policy in their lives, need to be cut. There are about 4700 agents that own one agency location and about 2300 agents that own 2 or more locations. There are about 80 market sales leaders that support these agents directly. Allstate management has made this position very robotic. These managers are only a sounding board for home office. In the digital age that Allstate has created, the number of managers can be cut in half to about 40 market sales leaders. The 25 district mangers are pathetic and should all be fired. This group of mangers knows very little about the insurance industry. They are merely puppets in puppet master Wilson's army of none.

These moves would be a line expense savings of $10,000,000. Let the ax start swinging!

More are being force transferred to vendors than laid off. No need to pay as much severance this way. Around 2000 Allstaters being moved to these vendors and only around 400 being laid off.
