It took me a long time to understand that this place will not change for the better. The whole time I hoped that some improvement would happen. Now I'm just wondering what will happen next to make things worse for good employees here...

All the smart ones left kenai for better jobs and less bullsh-t. They don’t care who leaves. They just hire the minimum new ones to replace. Lots of overtime. They just don’t get it. Hire bad superintendents and that makes people go and gives bad moral. You would think other managers would see this and fix it. But the answer is no.
I suspect they don’t mind if mid-career employees resign before they are eligible for legacy pension or retiree healthcare. Seems like they are actively but quietly trying to push them out.
