Many major tech companies have had layoffs and more continue and are expected to. VMware on the other hand, a company that is not particularly ki----g it financially recently, has no signs of any layoffs. It’s either a really good sign or a really bad one because they know massive layoffs are coming anyway when the deal closes so why even bother now. It’s far more likely it’s the latter

until Hock takes over chances of layoffs are low, but WHEN Hock comes in the door expect to NOT have a job. The guy is going to swing the axe HARD. 50% of the current employees are not needed according to his calculations.
So enjoy the calm before the storm sometime in Spring-Summer 23
I don't think there will be layoffs... why do something and rock the boat when they can just let Hock do his dirty work according to his preferences?
anyone who writes software should show up at Hock’s office…
We will be worse off than of Musk acquired us.
Layoffs galore!
The existing e staff are waiting for Hock to do the clear out. They just have to manage the situation until the closing.
lol with the current attrition there’s no layoffs needed. At least until dooms day when Hook walks in like a Elon on crack cleaning up.
