Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

My will to work is gone

And the reason for that is very clear: fewer and fewer people here enjoy their work.
Trust in leadership is almost non-existent.
Most of them know that there are not many opportunities waiting for them here, nor that they can build the future here.
So how can anyone have the will to continue making great efforts and stay here!? It is not at all surprising that despite the dismal market, many see the cut as some kind of relief or as a much needed kick to give themselves a better life with a company that appreciates them.

I work to support my family so the will to work is always there. Not sure why people are so emotionally attached to this C*SCO.

What you mention is nothing new… but no worries that mindset can go on for many more years ;)

How could anybody possibly have a will to work anywhere? Work is for marks.

The whole point of this corporate dog and pony show is to build your wealth as fast as humanly possible and get out of dodge once you hit your target number.

The only will I have is the will to get paid while doing absolutely nothing. Why else would I have worked at Cisco for all those years?

Cisco primarily recruits submissive candidates without critical thinking skills these days. It's not 2003 anymore.

Yeah I’m super burnt out at this point. I’d take the 6 month severance if offered 💯.

Seems like the newbies are drinking the ELT kook-aid and are not seasoned enough to know they should quit now
The older folks just work part-time at home collecting a paycheck and wait for severance package
