No one with skills will agree to do the double amount of work here without being adequately paid for it. Belk isn't the only show in town. On the other hand, those who don't have the skills stay here but they don't have the capacity to do so much work. Maybe the leadership needs to think again about their business strategy, if they even care about the future of this company.

Whoa.. at that salary you can’t buy much with the checks you’re cashing. Better get out of retail. Ya know- the “quiet quitting”.
i went from Belk to target and would suggest target any day. we actually have enough employees that everyone only does what they were hired to do. New hires at my store start at $15.90, managers start at $47,000, so apply to target you will not be unhappy.
If Belk “isn’t the only show in town” why are you all still here complaining? Must not be that bad. At least not bad enough to go work for another competitor.
You’ll stick it out another holiday season. And you’ll like it
I rather live and work with in an intelligent tough perdition place then spend a day in Belk retail paradise! Belk does not have a strategy. Belk does not care about the workers but only how much money top managers make! Belk does not want to do anything better but making more or abusing and hurting its loyal associates! Belk does not have a future. Caring and good company usually having sound and intelligent top leaderships and sound business strategy! Stupid or not so smart company like Belk always running bad and keep failing or continue to operate with a lot of not so smart or many unintelligent top executives and then wonder why Belk keeps on failing! Welcome to Belk paradise, you can check out anytime but you can’t never leave!
