GM has BrightDrop poised to earn $1 BILLION next year, Ford has FordNext poised to LOSE $1 BILLION next year. When and how do we fix this lack of accountability for revenue generation at FordNext?
“BrightDrop told investors Thursday that it is on pace to reach $1 billion in revenue in 2023. It is also set to generate up to $10 billion in revenue and 20% profit margins by the end of the decade. It says it is one of the fastest companies to hit the $1 billion milestone.”
If Ford still had the almost $3 Billion in losses caused over the last fe2 years by the Ford Next / FordX people, we would have enough cash to fund 20,000 engineers for another year. But they have Bill Ford believing, and Farley evangelizing, that someday, some how, we will be a data and subscription revenue generating machine. It’s a 🤡 show.

The huge difference is that GM saw a need that both existing and potential customers had, then built add on products to solve that need. At Ford Next, we think up things we hope someone might want to buy, then try to convince everyone that they really need it.
I wouldn't believe all GM claims, but fact remains FordNext under Franck Louis Victor is an epic fail and he will be held accountable. Hey Farley, do to FLV what you did to his predecessors. My heart breaks for all the folks that were SIRP'd working on AV, yet many remain that should be held accountable. Anyone know when Franck Louis Victor and Robert Moser's contracts expire - they have not demonstrated any value for Ford and should be terminated immediately. Farley wants results, as in show me the money not some ridiculous ' customer experience or research ' board. Everyone is uncomfortably quiet, likely more layoffs in the new year. Don't be fooled by the ' need to bring in new talent ' smokescreen. Lawler knows to cut costs by eliminating all the pensioners, followed by who doesn't make ' Friends and Family '.
