We all know Showtime layoffs are coming. But when?

Yep today my position was eliminated and those left will have to do my work which of course wasn’t eliminated.
Today, for those still wondering.
The waiting game is painful.
Merging the Showtime streaming service into Paramount+ is the exact opposite of "shopping Showtime"
the merge yielded exactly zero results which is why they are considering other options. you keep coming here to say a whole lot of nothing.
Merging the Showtime streaming service into Paramount+ is the exact opposite of "shopping Showtime", let alone to the first person throwing some change on the table.
The idea that they are "shopping Showtime" is ludicrous and utterly uninformed.

they're trying to make showtime work but it's not happening. you sound like the one that's uninformed.
A boon? Netflix and Hulu are the only two streaming platforms reporting positive quarterly earnings while subscriptions of paramount+ is dead last across all platforms. Showtime hasn’t contributed to growth whatsoever.
I’m not going to pretend like I know what’s going on at showtime but calling its performance a boon demonstrates that you don’t even know public information let alone insider info.
The Paramount/Showtime bundle performance has been a boon
Stopped reading right there
The Paramount/Showtime bundle performance has been a boon. The idea that the company spent a year preparing to allow Showtime to be the premium tier within Paramount+, pouring money into campaigns and tech, only to sell Showtime off as quickly as possible, getting rid of it? That's as stupid as so much else that gets written here by anonymous trolls. Will there be Showtime layoffs? Sure, who knows, maybe tons. There's a lot of redundancies across Paramount Global. But selling off Showtime? No. Bakish may be positioning ALL of Paramount Corp in its entirety as something for one of the bigger fish to buy, that could be the end game, but if not, while they could lay off hundreds at Showtime, retiring let alone selling off the Showtime brand would be even stupider than anything Bakish has done so far. But hey, trust your "insiders" here, sure. "Liquidation sale" in this context is the talk of someone who has no understanding of the business, let alone its current state.
@eqg+1jKuSeqC Be very, very careful about personal biases affecting your decision making. Look at the paramount/showtime bundle performance. There is definite truth in what @xfm+1jKuSeqC is saying.

it might not happen soon as they're shopping showtime, just no bites yet. at this point its likely to be unloaded to the first person willing to assume the debt. if no buyers the IP will turn into a liquidation sale, in which case there won't be a showtime.
