During the townhall meeting, the CFO Issues Warning to Older Employees.

In his address today, CFO stated the company needs to hire from outside to achieve better diversity, equity, and inclusion. You see, employees who have been with the company for a while are, in his mind, reluctant to adapt to change. So, while the company "appreciates" the service of long-time employees, those with longer tenure will be deemed "suddenly stupid." Sounds like the culling (reorganizations as a way to eliminate roles held by older employees, with a token under 45 thrown in) will continue in the year to come. Happy Holidays, With love from Monish "The Beast".

thank you for posting these questions as us production operatives in UK plant cant access 3M Go,as our management dont think its for our eyes, everything we get is limited to print outs on sheets of paper and passed around at tea break, we also have had our service dinners stopped and christmas bonuses stopped, they were not massive but they meant a lot , now it just seems no empathy exists at all, wish we could go back to the old ,m,m where teams were teams and morale was great and work was not a chore

There is a growing trend of cutting lifelong 3Mers in order to replace externally, or through outsourcing. Is this our new strategy (to cancel our history)?

Is it possible for 3M Management to be more authentic? We all know 3M is challenged. When you use phrases like "Exciting Changes" and people are losing their jobs, it doesn't seem so exciting.

How can our CEO receive a 40% pay increase since 2021, while entire teams are being cut in the US and sent to the GSC?

15+ High Potential Black Belts cut w/o notice. We've always been told this is the best role to aim towards in our careers and add to our resumes. How do you expect 3Mers to have positive attitudes towards this company and our jobs when we see these amazing 3Mers lose their jobs after years and years of hard work?

It seems that as a company, we no longer value the employee. We are job eliminating long time, loyal employees and giving them access to 3M systems for 2 weeks and nothing to help them with their pension access. This makes the "diversity and inclusion" initiative appear to be smoke and mirrors. What happened to our culture of caring about people?

3M Learn’s required “All Employee Learning Track 2022” consists of well over 8 hours of “training” that many feel has limited or no value. Peter has frequently spoke against non-value-added use of employee time, so how is it that this kind of course with such an extensive time requirement was allowed to be rolled out? Although labeled “All Employee Learning Track”, I understand that management above a certain level are not burdened by this “training”. How do we eliminate this wasteful use of employee time in the future if we do not expect our leadership to experience it themselves to make better decisions next time?

I miss the old 3M. The one that cared about its employees. Now we all live in fear that our jobs will be eliminated, promotions for the hardest working employees are frozen, employees that leave cannot be replaced .... it seems the people are no longer 3M's most important asset.
