I like ‘ol RH, but man, him and the host were completely flustered when discussing anything pay related.

There will be more structural savings no matter what, ie 5-10% layoffs via PIPS next July. We are laying off too many so we may be forced to hire.

Our consultants cut corners, why, because leadership wants to go faster and make more money….btw we hurt more people this way but glad the uncon can operate like your run of the mill independent.

The smart ones are leaving because they know no matter what annually 5-10% of people will be cut, when that stops, your attrition will be drastically improved; but that’s not what the corporation wants since the long term goal is to shrink headcount in all HC10 countries and replace as much labor as possible with the Tech centers which is why they were specifically called out on the call. Leadership doesn’t care about attrition because that’s everywhere nowadays and a future recession will make people stay.

Same old town hall no open communication, you ask a question the wrong one like a real issue and they PIP you next July or run you off if you are a consultant.

In Summary, not verbatim:

  • I (a VP) can’t control your salary
  • You’ve heard the stories of people leaving for more money, but also of people staying bc they like where they work, so make your work place a nice place to be (lol!)
  • we got to pay our contractors more if that is what the market is paying ( lol again)
  • I wish I could make all this go away (the high attrition rates / competitive market)
  • downplaying our performance in 2022
  • chat question about local engr salaries in guyana answered with (thats a better question for HR)

What else I miss?
