Thread regarding Imperial Oil Limited layoffs

Does Imperial still have the potential to be a good company?

I would like this to once again become the company that I used to love working for. However, probably only a miracle can help to fix this place.

Rather than wait for miracle to happen in the company, I’d look for miracle elsewhere.

Between young talents quitting, real SME's forced to retire, hard working technical burning out......ummm....I struggle to see how this company can have a bright future. Our managers kept rubbing in our faces the profit the company is making and yet no solid answers when it comes to raises that will counter inflation...

OP. not while they continue to promote and move around toxic managers. Good people continue to quit to get away from the unhealthy environment.
Lots of talk about mental health at imperial. But at the end is just talk.
Is a behavior learned from EM puppet masters. You need to behave like them in order to get promoted.
You will see an increase of low cost centers outsourcing in the next few years. EM continues to increase these targets.

Imperial need something bigger than a miracle.

Imperial is a good training company to prepare for your next job.

This is now a “job” company and not “Career” company.

I wished for that miracle for 6 years. Then I quit.
