Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Farley concerned WITH THE WRONG ISSUE

“Farley: Rivals 'ahead of us' on diversity”

Customers: Rivals ahead of Ford on QUALITY.

Fix this misplaced concern, and we might fix the recall cost issue.

@7slz+1jJN35as Afraid? No. Pi---d off. Not to the minorities, but to the blindness and pitfalls of upper management.

As you said it yourself, people are fine working with those transwomen because they were solid and dependable performers, not because they are a minority. Which is exactly my point. Choose people based on their skills and knowledge, not based on their race or gender, which is what FMC is doing.

Are you all really afraid of minorities and people of color filling out the ranks alongside you? The bar isn't lowered for them, and it isn't higher for you.

There were two trans women in my organization and nobody minded working with them because they were solid and dependable performers.

Ford needs more of that!

Thank goodness. I have noticed that Ford is by far mostly older white men in most positions and levels. We will be such a stronger company with more people of color and different s--ualaties and gender identities.

Our company makeup should match the racial / gender / etc. statistics of the where the facility is located.

We will be so much better off. And the Gen Z employees will be much more likely to want to work here.

It really will be great. You are all going to love it too!

Diversity is one of Bill Ford's top priorities and has been high on his list since the Jac Nasser era, if not longer. Farley has made DEI one of his priorities to curry favor with his boss.

I am sending a lot of trolls or people who are just angry with their own role or place within the org structure.

DEI is a good thing. No, standards are not lowered for people of color.

Ford does fall way behind regarding people of color and women in leadership roles - especially executive leadership roles.

It makes sense. Ford's strategy isn't about meeting consumer demands for a quality vehicle, it is about government edicts and subsidies.

In the article have a look at the picture of JF and JJ “chatting”. The look on Jackson’s face and his body posture says it all. Yo gasbag get out of my personal space.

Studies have showed that diversity affects performance in school and work places. People start "worrying" and self limiting themselves, in order to accommodate diverse people.

Yes, diversity is good to learn about other cultures and customs, to give people a wider perspective in life and make then more socially adapted. However, performance suffers, because high performers focus on delivering the tasks, even if it means bothering other people. So diversity is a brake in the high performers, since they cannot risk "bothering" some people since it may be seen as "discrimination", or "harassment".

There are also studies showing that companies having diverse managers or specialists are more competitive than others. So Ford is going the "easy way", promoting diverse people just for the sake of diverse (so there is a lot of racism and s-xism in this company, since we promote based on skin color and gender).

What the "leaders" at FMC didn't take into account, is that those companies that promoted the diverse people, did it based on their skills. Those diverse people were actually better than anyone else, and that's why they bring an edge to the table.

The "leaders" at FMC also forgot that the standards are lowered, sorry, "adjusted" for diverse people (unless Asian). If that's not blatant racism, IDK what is. Anyway, most of the time, when you hire a diverse person, you'll get someone with lower potential. Promoting those people on DEI and not based in skills, means Ford is getting uncapable "people leaders", which brings all those feuds among managers, harassing the competent employees, and taking the wrong decisions at every turn.

I just reread what I wrote, and man, it seems almost written by a white supremacist. But I am not, unless I am another blind Clayton Bigsby. I have no problem working with/under or above someone competent, because I don't care about race, gender or se-ual preferences. However, I don't like racism, no matter if is "reversed" or not, "affirmative action", or whatever DEI cr-p FMC is doing.

BTW, being a member in a DEI initiative will not save any employee from being laid off. When the moment of truth comes, the only color the BOD at Ford cares is GREEN. Remember that.
