Ford SpeakUp - HR is not your friend but how does Ford actually use this tool? Any good/bad experiences?

@2ioi Wait for the ramifications. If they moved the complainer/victim, they viewed her as the problem and she will be dealt with all in good time.
I put in a ticket for someone else, a friend who was worried to say something. they investigated and she got moved to another team. so i would say it worked
HR is an extension of Legal and nothing more.
Get real @1znv Ford Speakup is not useful for reporting anything.
Things that have been reported on over the years to Speakup
- s-xual harassment (LL5 male harrassing subordinate female; one female LL6 harassing multiple male subordinates)
- LL6 being blackout drunk at his desk by 10 am daily and flying into violent rages daily
- LL6 harassing black subordinates and systematically firing all of them. It was like clockwork once a month firing until a 50% white team ended up 100% white. There was an office pool for betting on the next up on the firing list.
- LL6 stealing laptops and then pinning the blame on the custodians.
The only thing that happened was retaliation and major league blowback. Not a single LL5/LL6 was disciplined, some were actually promoted.
Ford Speak Up is for reporting HR problems like se-ual harassment or racist behavior. It is not for reporting your opinion of someone else's job performance, work ethic, personality, lifestyle, or whatever. It is not their job to make people be nicer or to make you feel better. They are not your therapist or momma.
I used it and immediately had to have "training" with some HR woman for not being sympathetic to my co-workers. Nothing specific, no incidents were ever specified. I was told there would be no retaliation but there was. Changed jobs
"Ford Speak" a term from George Orwell's dystopian novel 1984. HR has become a mirror of elements within the novel such as renaming "Supervisors" as "People Leaders", a term you would hear in Soviet Russia.
Retaliation against you. That is the end result in a nutshell.
All that "retaliation is not tolerated" bull that you seen in the recent mandatory online corporate trainings is bull.

Do not use SpeakUp. HR is not there to help you. It is there to protect the company. I was d-mb enough to report my LL4 and I got retaliated against.
Expect retaliation if you use Ford Speakup. That is the norm.
If you are careful and use a burner phone and do not leave info to trace back to yourself, someone will still be blamed and retaliated against. Witch hunts are held for purposes of ensuring everyone gets the message to not use Ford Speakup. YMMV
I haven’t heard of any experiences but the training sure is sleek lol. Do they even have enough staff at this point to do any investigations??
HR "s dont have any powers
They obey orders of the so called executives
They are not there to talk for benefit of employees
