Don't stay too long. Ford does not appreciate you and your loyalty is misplaced. Don't try to rearrange the deck chairs on a sinking ship, get out while you can, think of your future not Ford's (which is not looking good).

No more layoffs this year. Mark my words you cry babies. Although with all the complaining you all do, I am positive that you would all be on the low performer list and not meet your PEP targets any. So your days are numbered anyway... You all need to be in the office every day so a manager can see first hand just how unproductive you are.
No way another separation in 2022. I know an LL4 working to use the new "low performer" plan and HR is requesting 2 months of documentation before the trigger can be pulled. If another separation was coming soon, they wouldn't be spending a second on that documentation.
Face it we are in a recession like no other that is worse than 2008.

Worker council here in EU is preparing us for large headcount reduction tasks early next year. Global facilies alignment and ramp down of combustion engines in EU will leave many people without occupation.
Seems true based on previous history of contractor layoffs the week before Thanksgiving or Christmas. Salaried cuts right after that in December or January holidays. All the tech companies are doing it, Farley will follow in the footsteps of Twitter, Meta, and Amazon. Save up and prepare for the worst in the coming weeks.
I agree that there likely won't be any further layoffs this calendar year.
I won't be too surprised if it does happen.
But I believe that that got to their current goal with April and August and have a path with retirements and low performers. That will get through 2022.
I believe 2023 will see more layoffs though. Only time will tell.
I don’t believe you, I have it on good authority that retirement numbers way outpaced expectations to a concerning degree. This seems like scaremongering. Saying “not a rumor” doesn’t make something not a rumor.

Holy Moly! The more I talked to people still there and the lord I read here and elsewhere, I am of the firm belief at this point in time I was actually done a favor by being SISP’d early this year .
I have a new job (true, with a consulting firm but got about a 12% raise from what I had been making as a career GSR) in a non automotive industry (healthcare) and the company has me working on a large project with deliverables through 2024 and they have a reputation of not laying off, so should not have to look again for at least a year or so.
Best part - none of the constant worry about when the other shoe would drop and I’d be next. I had literally had this fear in 2007, 2008, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2022. It is so nice to just focus on work at hand and not about your company’s performance and the questionable decision making of the executive staff. I had forgotten what it felt to be in a normal work environment. How messed up is that???
Ford will be bankrupt soon. It is a very unhealthy environment. Get out and take care.
Ford needs to cut $3,000,000,000 in cost, do the math, that is more jobs than there are in Dearborn. On top of that, we can’t count on Ford Credit to save our financials, we have enormous debt and junk bond ratings.
But we continue to lose BILLIONS trying to be a “data and subscription “ provider
instead of the vehicle manufacturer we’ve been for over 100 years. Ford Next has ZERO accountability for their lack of profitability, and zero potential for profitability, so the circling of the drain will only intensify.
