HR emails going out to Avaya employees

Avaya is trickling out news US very cautiously to avoid reporting. The WARN Act is a federal act, however, it dictated that the employer must file reports under the states where employees reside. If they stay under a certain # (typically 50, yet some states require more they don't have to notify the state. Also same reason why Avaya won't send a memo sharing "578 people were impacted this week". This is very deliberate. This is why everyone is "guessing" the scope and impact. And people like Steve can declare 'no reports of layoffs in the east coast'. Correct. Deliberate avoidance of reports.
Yes. It was another mass one in US. Invites to a generic call (not a one:one or one:two). Several staggered calls with a canned script and a promise of an email to follow.
Hearing Canada getting hit this afternoon
I'm in the UK been told that my role is at risk today. Not a shock as this is what we all expected. Still not sure how many people this will effect, but whoever is last in turn the lights off.
Ha. Glad Batman is "reporting" the news that was shared 7 days ago on here. Such VIP information (while knowing the entire industry is in slash mode + Avayas special status of fighting to avoid BK every day)
He the man
Be well everyone.

How is it that "Batman" behaves like a non managerial person lacking professional etiquette, yet has a middle management role? Why do they never address it? It's like he's allowed to "learn on the job" . So perplexed
US today/this week Batman told people it will not be small
I didn't see it coming
I wish... It's Not happening, Company happy with people leaving... Costs them 0. They know with double digit inflation and no salary increases people will leave.
Brilliant news I hope it's true and I'm one of the lucky ones
