Should I be worried about more layoffs next week?

Heard age 50 and above employees are first target and will be first ones to let go. Remaining ones will be offered volunteer retirement with condition.
I think we just need take it as it comes. No point taking stress. I was stressed last lay-off as well. But I have already made firm decision to leave this place. Too many bad actors. No hope
I have very incompetent and terrible manager who was promoted recently. He is worried that this clean up could clean him and his political connection both. Heard it from other manager.
Always they do it before thanksgiving… just to stick it to those who are laid off
My manager is not sure of his own job.
I will not rely on managers as heard they may be in line too.

it's valid to be worried about losing your job unless your manager or someone else has told you that you're safe
