Frankly I am in middle of resigning as I am really fed up with culture in GF. CEO finds way to confuse employees using his artificially created slides sometimes using Ebitda and some times gross margin.. whatever makes him sound good. Fundamentally company is going to close in absence of 7nm and beyond technology as rhetoric of caul field is falling apart as he has been telling employees that GF can survive without cutting edge technology such as 7 nm and below. It is obvious that more than 60-70% of revenue of big chipmakers like Intel, TSMC or Samsung comes from 7 nm and below. 14 nm soon going to be obsolete as more and more chipmakers getting ready to present capacity in market. Tom Caulfield was lucky to keep GF team in dark due to pandemic and shortages as AMD, QCOM and Mediatech kept GF filled in 22 due to demand. Real test comes now when 14 nm seeing softening on demand and inventory build while GF has only 14 nm in Malta. Matter of time.

Everyone remember your managers and 2nd and 3rd line managers …. Watch where they go and then contact their new employers about their incompetence And conduct. Don’t let them get away with fu----g with your life
Heard employees age 50 year and above are going to be key targets and will be primary target throughout this year and next as they are equivalent to two new of less experienced employees. Idea is to create their back up and replace them with yoong and low cost employees. What the heck going on ?
It is sad to see how quickly these incompetent leaders steered GF that was formed by Abu Dhabi to be alternative to TSMC to bottom feeder foundry only to find itself struggling to survive.
GF only hires the rejects , the incompetents , into their SLT ranks. These rejects and incompetents are sinking the company and there is no one to stop them. What a shame.
I saw a comment on an older post here that fits seems appropriate to quote;
“The same guys who crashed that fancy blue car into a wall were now given the keys to a brand new shiny orange one.”
I would add to the comment with;
but also those who started off orange before their arrival were too mentally handicapped to even get their drivers licenses
