Some write here that their cuts were not surprising at all, considering the layoffs that are happening in many tech companies now. And yet, I was still surprised because we are terribly understaffed and I don't understand how everything will work when even more people are cut!? This time I'd prefer to be cut.

Heard employees age 50 year and above are going to be key layoff targets and will be primary target throughout this year and next as they are equivalent to two new of less experienced employees. Idea is to create their back up and replace them with young and low cost employees. What the heck going on ?
Why don’t reporters and finance people report on this? It’s all fake. Globalfoundries does not really deserve the stock bump it received in past few days
But just a few days ago they said this, I don't understand.

GlobalFoundries Inc. issued better-than-expected earnings guidance for the fourth quarter after reporting better-than-expected profit for the third quarter.
Because senior leadership spends lavishly on themselves and their self promoting "business trips." But I can't get a request for consumables approved.
