I heard on the news the local news the other night that even though 3M “settled” with 3M, there is a clause or something saying that they can go back to 3M if the clean up cost exceed the $850 million settlements.
Is this true? So 3M in essence has not limited their exposure, they just outsourced the clean up to be facilitated by the state with a huge advance and an open tab?
Say it is not so?
