Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

💍 Ring Deal is No More! (🥳 🥂)

The Ring Team had travel pulled just prior to traveling to an IAUG Event. Next day they learned they were eliminated, and part of a 400 person RIF at Ring.

Avaya Ring ACO is no more

Honestly, it was just each company using one another. There was nothing strategic or long term about the deal. So happy to not have the play along with that marketing spin initiative any further. UCaaS is a COMMODITY. There was zero secret sauce. The WOW of Ring Central is the agressive growth and focus of it's founder. Not of it's products, solutions or even niche. It's a crowded space of dozens of me-too's (hence Rings desperation to hook onto Avayas Wagon. Without fast tracked client introductions, they have run out of growth options)

Skeleton Crew
All Sales Executives from Ring Central on the ACO team have been moved or laid off. Few AEs remain, yet majority ocustoner facing sales for ACO has been eliminated. The few AEs that remain are part of a transition and to maintain and or help along any clients who already began the ACO journey.
Rings board told them they couldn't take the risk of losing Avaya relationship and prepare. However, the contract is still being renegotiated so they can't 100% close up ship in ACO. They have a skeleton crew for now.

How many Ring ACO deals have you sold this month? This week? Today? How 'active' is this really?

'patently untrue' is a demeaning phrase meant to imply others can't be as important as the person who proudly declares as if they are in the room with Vlad and Alan working out the deal.
Just an unknowledgeable person ba----g their drum.
(And the only person who finds a way to state "stack" in any possible opportunity, we all KNOW who that is)

While there was a RIF at Ring, saying that Avaya has stopped selling (or even briefly paused) ACO is patently untrue. There is a big push to sell ACO today, and will be tomorrow too. Now, is that a good thing? Tough to say, but it is definitely still a big part of the product stack. There is enough misinformation coming from the company itself, we shouldn't help things along...

Who cut ACO sales roles? RC or Avaya, or both? So confused

Nope, still have a few AM's and an SE or 2 selling new ACO

Just heard all SE's and AM's associated with ACO are out.

Does that mean they have a few still managing it for existing customers yet not selling to new clients?

There are still a few on ACO. This was company wide, not exclusive to ACO.
