Wonder if the employees still follow the DMAIC methodology when it comes to problem solving? Or throw it out of the window?

Yes, they do!
DMAIC focuses on moving expensed items to CAPEX (capital expenditures) so they can be depreciated over 7 years.
Plant manager looks great short term with no expenses to drag down productivity, and spreading out the depreciation over 7 years.
Basically, it's a clear path so a plant manager can outrun his mistakes and maintain his position in the succession plan.
It's not illegal until you get caught! Only an internal whistleblower could detect this.
The most important continuous improvement is to take an expense and move it onto someone else’s balance sheet. Change nothing about the process or the cost, just scooch it over onto someone else’s balance sheet.
I believe most MBBs etc were let go in the latest round.
- I expect more analysis of the mental side of issues- why aren't people implementing improvements the way they should be.*
Question: Why aren’t the supervisors of the employees who allegedly are not implementing improvements, holding their teams accountable?
What will happen to the group of Area MBB director, and each country MBBs? Will they still keep their reporting jobs?
It's going to be another six sigma but under new terms and perhaps so different tools. I expect more analysis of the mental side of issues- why aren't people implementing improvements the way they should be. Six sigma control plans got ditched the minute the key people moved on. I found a few times that the project got restarted five years after it was declared a success. New people came along and didn't get a good hand off.
