Geologists will go extinct in the shale patch as we in finance continue to milk the last of the value before deploying our golden parachutes with the inevitable bankruptcies.
We’re beginning to figure out the engineers of today aren’t really “engineering” anything and are really just glorified project managers and paper pushers with inflated egos. Soon, compensation and head count will be adjusted appropriately.

Probably necessary given there’s >1,000 wells drilled in the primary basins and group has produced zero organic reserves growth the last decade plus. E&P? Probably just P.
