Just announced today..Bich Le, President of HCBG and Medical Solutions Division, is leaving 3M immediately. She will be replaced by Veronica Acurio, with the title of interim President. Bich Le was not at 3m very long. I wonder why she left the Titanic?

As I said in another post, she was used as a scapegoat. Roman will say or do anything to hang onto his $20 million per year job. Disgraceful.
Rumors swirling on this one, it was in short order following some executive meeting. Bich was great - asked the right questions and expected accountability.
The same ones that would name their daughter, Tudor.

She probably took the severance which would prevent her from filing a lawsuit. She should’ve told him to shove the money and then filed a suit for wrongful termination, discrimination, and outright hostile work environment.

VA is calling in favors done in the past. This is not a coincidence. There are only alliances at that level of corporate life. Alliances are political not governance. This is not about the employees. That’s collateral damage. Remember when queen esg was sent to run mexico? She ran it to the ground in 8 months and was back. Now she has an area where damage is minimal primarily because no one understands the area, including her. What an absolute comedy of errors we are watching unfold!
Including Bich they fired two out of the last three MSD Presidents, and the middle guy 'retired' at 56.
They made a big deal about diversity when they brought her in replacing two white men. How her 'personal story' would be so inspiring as a leader, presumably compared to the last two loser white men.
Yeah really inspiring. Within a year under her. DOZENS of people left and her numbers were terrible.
What a disaster for her, 3M and all the people involved. Especially the white men who were fired.

She's the 2nd women in leadership to leave within HCBG "effective immediately," and certainly the highest up, in a few months. She was also the 3rd President of MSD in 3 years. From what I heard when they were trying to fill an exec comms role for her, she was challenging but also MSD is a hot mess with little clear prioritization and certainly a lack of leadership - that wasn't an issue unique to her.

There are plenty of people in this world who live by a moral code and will not genuflect to scurvy little spiders who prowl about this planet in search of souls.
I believe she finally saw enough and did the right thing - - - left the evil 👿 behind to wallow in their own destruction.

The CEO needed a fall person to explain away the voluntary resignations in light of layoffs, lawsuits, and the ongoing poor decision-making by Mike Roman and the so-called “senior management team.” So they picked her.
Mike Roman is a full fledged disgrace.
It's become just plain amusing. Every day someone else from the upper ranks exits stage left. (Who can blame them?) The tone of the announcement of her departure certainly left much to the imagination. One thing is clear - it was very abrupt. Not sure if she had just had enough, she refused to drink the kool-aid and fall in line, or if it was performance related. Interesting she is ex-GE. Does Monish know his army of disciples is down one?
Based on the email MSD received, I truly believe she was fired. We had heard her management style was bad which is why a lot of MSD people have left.

Bich Le was only at 3M for about 16 months. She was brought into an impossible situation into the biggest division In the company and basically the whole OC of that division has left since she joined. 3M is a mess and she probably didn't want to waste any more time there. Medical is the division where careers go to die. Guy before her quit too.
