Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Do people actually still believe attrition is not wanted?

I can’t believe people still believe that EM care and they will put plans in place to stop attrition. HR want people to leave and they continue the NSI / NI at the high teens % and they will give below inflation increases; only O / OPD will get inflation busting raises. And then DWW and MC will get super high bonuses.

What's the turnover rate and length of retention of staff at xom? That will also provide insight into long term health.

Just search for HC10 on the intranet and you'll see some pretty stark powerpoint charts....

Of course they wanted attrition.

Even after I resigned, supervisor couldn't fill out the paperwork fast enough to see me gone. Even though I was told how valuable I was in previous years by many people (top to middle third in ranking), I was just a number. Nevertheless, my leaving helps my sup with meeting the attrition target because no one else on the had to be PIP'd. They made no effort to retain me nor did HR contact me when I requested it. Just emailed me a generic form to fill out to make sure no policy was broken. So much for loyalty or appreciation. THEY DONT CARE. It's a freak'in debacle here.
