Twitter is dead without the deal... Wait for the economy to tank, investors to pull our and the free money hose to be cut off.

VMware is just a enterprise software business which needs some tweaking, consolidation and streamlining. Completely different scenarios and companies, no one needs twitter. Over 1000 multinational companies rely on VMware SW to keep their apps running day to day.

Kinda doubt Elon or Hocktan would allow Betsy to throw away millions on the modern day frippery that is DEI.

No it is not. Twitter has promise to be led by one of the most successful entrepreneur on earth and ever been on earth.

Vmw is a toxic environment that is to be slashed to the ground.

Well, that guy's case was justified. Twitter is one of the main (if not THE main) contributors to world "id--tification", "d-mbassification", "karenization", "LGTVQA+ification" and so on.
Anyone in this situation with two neurons to rub together would ponder on "what if they ask me how many genders there are out there and I'll blurt out 87 instead of 2 and then I'll lose my job" and then get anxious about it.
Vmware is not even remotely in the same situation: Vmware just needs to make cash for the stakeholders. Just as simple. Do you make at least 1M/employee in yearly revenue? Everyone is welcome. No? We will need to tweak things a little bit, no hard feelings and s**t.
