Seasonal Hiring

Is anyone getting enough hours to actually start any of the seasonal hiring? First week of Period 9 is pretty much the same as we've been getting each week. When do they expect us to hire and train? Week of Black Friday?

And you know we had many many employees who DID work to get raises and such and then were hit with the $12 raise for everyone, even the slackers. They were claiming BS in 2019 about this already. I cannot blame them. You're right, it was a cr-p thing to do and was dangling a carrot regarding performance in front of their noses. So they produced and got the same thing some lazy people who are texting all day got. It is karma.

It’s such b-ll sh-t I can hire someone at a hirer rate than the people who have be working hard for us all these years. BBB deserve to close it’s karma for being cr---y to everyone that works in a store it’s not right.

You have a liquidator?

I was actually let go today! You expect them to hire more when they continue to punish the hard workers for incompetent ones??

Give me a few days to get over the shock but trust me this will eventually turn into relief.

What seasonal hiring will be needed? With the paltry amount of freight coming in ( and remember, this is peak delivery timeframe), not a heck of a lot of new help will be needed since you won't be selling anywhere near as much as previous years.

I am spending what I need to get the job done. People in corporate think they understand what I need to run my store but they are completely off. If they want to fire me for doing the right thing, so be it.

Ask your liquidator at this point. When people like a good friend are not being given enough hours and quit, BBBY has no intention of continuing. She knew a big flagship store like the back of her hand back in the day when we were overwhelmed with merchandise. I would take this as a sign that they do not have many hours to offer anymore.
