Sudden Retirement

Does anyone really believe that guy retired voluntarily? Who “retires” in the late afternoon/early evening on a weekday?

Has he shown up at another job yet? (He won't, because he retired).

It depends. You might be retirement age but might not have joined Allstate until later and not even be in that pension plan and might not have enough of a benefit to matter. The most likely to retire are long term employees of retirement age.

I have lost track of the number of senior executives I have seen that decided to "retire", only to see them show up at a new company a month or two later.

Yep, it's all about the Benjamins with these sociopaths. They'll happily leave behind a dumpster fire and go to their retirement mansions and collect their pensions / cash in their stock.

Best of luck to the rest of you!

EVP level with significant pension impact. Simple decision to make that is 200 percent driven by Fed actions. Good luck to him.

Employees in the retirement range are going to be announcing shortly. That dropp due to interest rate in pension payouts is too much to ignore
