Considering the excessive outsourcing, it seems that not much will remain here. Someone said that only "limited remote staff" will remain, and I'm afraid that's exactly what will happen.

All you have to do is look at how Teradata changed their model. Outsource all maintenance and change staff to IBM. Keep a few PS folks and Project Managers for change activities. Seriously they got rid of every customer facing support resource. If NCR can find a cheaper field support solution, you will all be gone. Poof!
No not crazy. Think of it this way, if your BU doesn't directly contribute to the bottom line You Are Ovethead. Overhead is the first place any business cuts or outsources.
If the job must be done in the US it will return to the US after India, Srebia or Cebu ask for it to be moved back.
“Try working harder rather than moaning about your job all the time.”
People already doing the jobs of multiple others due to NCR hiring freeze and lack of headcount and now increasing layoffs with a promise of continuing massive changes as the company splits……and you think people need to work harder is the solution?
You people are crazy thinking the US staff will be laid off! Of course there will always be US staff. Think of all the sales, account management, marketing, engineering and P.S people in America who have to stay in America.

There will be sales folks, they work from home anyways. The HW remaining is already outsourced. So not much.
There will be no US staff left except for field resources. Thats all they need over here. Rest will be hired in India and Serbia. Why do u think they built a new campus in Serbia?
