Was Monish presenting from an asylum? Plain white walls…nothing on the walls. Feel like he was in a closet in his basement probably with his laptop setup on a card table.

Vale is always the little professor. I worked for him in a very senior role and he added basically nothing other than his arrogance. Don't get sucked in by his BS..people who know nothing think he's smart due to the little professor style but for anyone who has any experience or industry knowledge he is a fu----g joke.

From Yahoo finance :

Nine wasted years. 3M shares are now trading at 2013 prices. Yes B.O.D. is sitting on their hands, or worse yet, clapping their fins and barking like an otter to lavish praise on Mike and Monish. Get rid of this gang now and EVERYONE every associated with GE. It is ki----g the company

That’s a pretty angry post dude. Seems like there is more to the story. Regardless, you’re going to stroke out over things you cannot control.

Work your Way and remote only work has become a scam at 3M. Far too many 3M employees abuse this system to take extra time off and preserve vacation with no accounting or monitoring of productivity and Managers and Supervisors are guilty of this too. Look around at the Center after Labor day packed with cars, before that ghost town. Tuesday, Wed, Thursday, packed parking lots, Friday and Monday you can name your spot. Same with meetings or tier.
I have Co workers that claimed work from home on Friday's and Mondays right before scheduled time off where they log in for 2/3 of, to an hour then are gone rest of day to get whole weeks off at a time. This summer was abomination compared to 2021. When Manager and Supervisors are off suddenly everyone bails and leaves the office to "WFH". Honestly good luck getting ahold of any of the remote corporate work staff on a Friday or Monday, you have as much chance winning the lottery than getting a response to a teams message or email, until Tuesday at the earliest. There are some co workers and colleagues that are responsive but becoming fewer by the day. If an employee threatens to leave that is remote only call their bluff. WORK your Way is fair when flexibility is needed and your honest about the need and make up the work. I have seen 3M'rs bragging about kayaking, running, walking the dog, doing anything but work this last summer even flaunting how little actual work they do. Far to many 3M'rs are abusing remote work as meaning little to no work and sluffing work off on others. Two that I work with, I have started to ignore work request when they are WFH because they are trying to pass off extra work. It's one thing to be a good teamate it is another to carry extra loads and abuse your team. Honestly why pay so many remote workers a large salary with benefits if all that work can be done remotely and you can find contractors and temporary staff to do that work for a lower wage or less benefits? There should be a trade off, you want remote only work, your a contract employee only. Remote work doesn't require expertise if your getting minimal productivity or availability to provide customer service both internally and external.

Vale is far better than the other Mike. And Monish. He has integrity and can make a decision.

Why is the board not paying attention?

Theresa was good, at least it was clear what’s happening.

Vale is simply a fool. He quite literally doesn't know any way to run a business other than to cut, cut, cut. He couldn't grow a weed.

Loyal and hardworking employees were not fairly rewarded in very long time. These people don't make fancy ppt but make products to sell.

Speaking of remote work, I noticed Moni didn't bother to brush his hair or leave his basement this morning.

Work your way is a scam. Makes people feel good but you will never get better than an average performance ranking unless you are in the office most days, especially on the maplewood campus. Vale is actually refreshing, at least this week, showing us what senior leadership thinks of remote workers.

Could they say “trust the process” anymore? Used car salesmen.

Vale’s talk on Tuesday was better. He mentioned how we’ve cut travel, ad merch and external services for 5 consecutive quarters and we’re running out of room to cut here anymore aka layoffs. Then he ended with talking about how energized he was recently touring a lab and meeting with customers then questioning work your way/whether our current remote heavy model works for the long term.
