You can tell attrition combined with layoffs based on pay instead of performance is starting to create problems when I'm asked to do work I've never done before and was never trained to do. This was in addition to my regular work, of course. I said no and if they want to fire me for it to go ahead. My manager was mad but so far I'm still here.

Train yourself! Why bother training you when they can hire someone that has the skills they need? Continuous education is the key these days. Don't be so lazy.
Ask your 'manager' to lean-in and help (LOL). They wouldn't have a clue...
