The corp brain trust is 3D printing a massive commode. One flush and all gone
how many 3d companies are out there and none have broken through yet? there is opportunity but if anyone thought X was going to install hundreds if not thousands of these and making billions they are fooling themselves
wasn't 3D supposed to be a huge growth initiative business?
This is disappointing. The technology seemed promising and potentially a source of billions in new revenue and brand new markets.
Just another JV blunder along with a poor economy...I can just imagine how the Navy feels after spending millions on junk...
I’m hearing rumors? It’s well known.
“On September 30, Xerox scaled back its Elem Additive 3D business and is now solely focused on supporting current installations. As outlined at our Investor Day event earlier this year, the innovation studio model we have established enables us to quickly determine which businesses we continue moving forward with and which we scale down. This was a difficult, but necessary, decision. We are working to minimize the impact to the affected individuals and will provide transition assistance for those impacted.”

And late to the party to begin with.
Typical Xerox....always on the losing end of the stick!!!
So much for new and exciting. They bought a ready-ish looking prototype with a lot of productization work needed. Smoke and mirrors, devolved to smoke.
How many months have you noticed the bridge sensor was shut down? It's been almost 2 months...

bridge sensors have been scrapped too
It's true, only a few continue to support the products sold and the stock produced, what's next?
The Navy will be lost without the 3D products.
I hope the bridge sensors or air conditioning flex capacitors can replace some of the lost revenue.
Thank goodness we have CareAR!
Internally, a scaling back to bare minimum support staff was announced.
If it was shut down and not announced how many months would it take before someone noticed?
