Since I do not believe that I will be able to keep my job after the acquisition, I absolutely do not care about VMW anymore. I'm busy sending applications.
Now that I'm here and reading all these posts about the future of the company, I get the impression that many people are still interested in how things will develop because they would like to stay here. Am I wrong?
I left for a new job some time ago. Not because I wanted to but because I saw the writing on the wall as soon as the acquisition was announced. I feel bitter and sad about it still. VMW was the best job I'd ever had and I really and genuinely liked the people I worked with. Many of them are leaving too. In my eyes this acquisition destroyed the company. A company is only a company because of its people and the care they place into their work. Take that away and you are left with nothing.
People come here because they can't have open or frank conversations with their colleagues.
I don't care about this place, and haven't since I started. I was sold a lie from the recruiter and started a few days before the aquistion. This left a bitter taste in my mouth. The job description, the team, everything was a lie.... So frustrating.
If you don’t care about staying why do you care about what others are still doing?
P.S I don’t care about staying either.
