Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Innovations

Now I only ever give advice if asked directly, considering that my manager does not like to hear other people's opinions or ideas, and in the meantime I am planning an exit strategy. Qcom no longer values people who actually love their job and want to add value. This place is barely innovative anymore. That is my personal opinion. Perhaps some will not agree?

People who want to contribute and wish to work on new technology should consider polishing their resume.

It depends on what business you are in. QCT and QTL are the only businesses that make money for Q. But none of those businesses are innovative places to be. Thus, by default Q’s biggest businesses are not innovative by definition and company goals.
As Q tries to open new innovative business lines and if one of those lines makes a profit then Q shouldn’t stop innovation and should encourage it. At the moment there are no new business that turn a profit and engineers or employees in QCT or QTL that call themselves innovators are very confused and maybe mentally ill
