Ford 52 Recalls so far in 2022

Ford recently announced the number 52 recalls for 2022. My friends and neighbors just sold their Ford vehicles and bought Toyota, Honda, Kia, and Mazda.

They cannot handle the constant problems, wasting time at the dealerships, and the risk of their vehicle breakdown or catch on fire.

Farley - You and your team needs to wake up and turn the company around. Your employees are afraid to tell their friends and neighbors that they work at Ford. It's an embarrassment for them.

Ford has 99 problems. Poor quality products are all of them.

One has to be fairly oblivious to even consider buying or leasing any Ford vehicles.

"What are the reasons that would explain as to why these issues are not being caught?"

  • Poor upfront engineering
  • Distressed engineering/support staff with no more passion for the products
  • Morale in the toilet, it is always hanging over your head you're going to get cut
  • No more real vehicle testing
  • What little vehicle testing there is, is so neutered it is borderline useless
  • When m-plate test vehicles do have issues, the test vehicle abusers (you know who you are) don't tell anyone and thus no one gets to see/review the issue to address it
  • Suppliers that are sick of Ford's behaviors and don't come clean nor go out of their way to help
  • Horrible Ford management from the top to LL4/5 levels (yes the friends and family plans)
  • Constant new/turnover of outside executive hire know-it-alls who don't know the auto biz, at all, and it shows
  • HR and their woke policies/focus have zero value add to the product and our customers

That is some of it at least.

I have seen things for the years coming from offshore engineering that made American Brands Quality Image.
MBAs do care so I don't let it burn...

How does this number of 52 recalls compare to previous years at Ford and to the other automakers this year? I'd like to see some context before making a judgement.

I can't believe that anyone would buy a Ford in 2022
