Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

A way to avoid MLRP/NSI

If you file a harassment complaint with HR before end of assessment period, they can’t PIP you that period because it will look like retaliation.

They’ll probably get you the next year but will protect you this year.

At EM your skill as Engineer will not work. You have to be a brownoser, a backstabbed or a snitched to receive a promotion; at least it is how Permian works.

As a woman, I take exception for the comment that women use harassment as a way for quick promotions. I have been in the O&G business for a long time, and during that time I and several of my female associates have experienced various forms of harassments and misogyny. This is the kind of stuff that if it happened to your wife and daughter, you will not tolerate.

There is a high risk for women to report harassment because (1) it was difficult to prove and (2) many times the man was protected because of their position of power.

I do not know of any woman that would want to use this as a way for promotion. More likely, this will be perceived as a black mark.
