If I worked at a closing store as a part-timer (which means no severance) I would simply make last week my final one. Finding a part-time job is easy, I don't think anybody would have to go more than a few days without a job. But watching those on top try and figure out how to have going-out-of-business sales with just a few people left would be priceless.

Everyone should walk out!! BBB is tanking anyway so why not show them who’s in charge since Corp can’t get it right. Maybe just maybe they will listen to the stores and it’s employees what’s left of them
My store is closing and pt associates will receive a retention bonus if they stay till stores for good.
Our part timers get nothing in our store.
OP..your post is something else .what are you about 24?
As a full timer staying until the end I will get severance…the rest be mindful not so much. They will ask you to stay thru liquidation but once that’s done so are you. The only ones staying a handful to watch and sell the fixtures.I work in corporate so I know
Part timers will be receiving a retention bonus for staying to the last day in my store. I would only think it’s the same everywhere.
They must have changed that.. as a SM from an earlier closing store.. all pt associates we given a retention bonus on effort to retain associates til the end..
Wrong again. Our part timers are not offered any severance and certainly not a position at a sister store (they have no hours)!
If you choose the severance, you must stay until the store is closed and cleaned out to be eligible.
You are wrong. Part timers at closing stores will be offered comparable jobs at neighboring stores or a severance package.
