Another one bites the dust. Chief of Staff for the Office of the President at VMware resigned. There seems to be a lot of high profile resignations recently..

Karen Egan is also joining Sanjay. Looks like the old VMware gang is getting back together.

We know what happens to the Hand of the King
More dead wood that jumps ship now the less severe haircut we'll get in the end.
I've come around, have updated CV, reviewed qualifications and have done everything I can for now. It's out of my hands and am accepting of the current uncertainty.
If and when the time comes I will pivot to Broadcom's strategy. It's different but think I may actually enjoy it with all the fat gone.
Glorified manager. Does she bring the customer requirements to the engineers?
Excess titles is one reason we are bloated. CoS does things like organise massive off-site, which is another reason we are bloated.
Glorified EA? Hardly. Not an important job? I respectfully disagree. Most CoS are managing the business (strategy, organizational health, etc) for the exec they support. And most are coming from large enterprises where they served as a Director/Senior Director.
Poor thing won't be able to work closely with the execs now. Huge mistake on her part.
:-)
Chief of Staff… what a BS job, glorified admin. Who will order lunch now?
Yes it’s true. Heard it from her directly.
Never heard of her. What did she actually do?
sounds like an important job that really isn't.
No memoir's being sent for departures....from execs on purpose
Is that official or just a rumor? Didn’t get any memo.
It smells like the unemployment line is here. Go get a job fu----s
