How many full timers were offered severance and could finish out the work week? If we don’t finish out the work week is that going to effect our severance?

I was laid off & Saturday will be my last day. I Was given a severance package which will come through by email next week. (I’m a 13 year employee full timer) do I have to wait until after my separation email document sign & severance is fully received befor I can open my unemployment case or can I open my case first thing Sunday morning before my severance email is received ? I appreciate any and all replies for assistance on this manner. Thank you, & I hope everyone is doing OK✨

i'm one of the lucky ones, i had already requested tomorrow off anyways, and i work M-F in receiving, so i just have to sleepwalk through today and it's adios BBB!

I’m assuming the package is in the mail so to speak. I would be very guarded about not finishing the week as it could nullify any severance $$. They are not stupid
