North central cut employees in the field but kept all the contractors. This isn't the T-MOBILE we thought it was. Now local markets are fighting with regions leaders over who has to cover unmanned legacy Sprint MSC's that still carry LTE traffic. The Sprint sites are only about 75 percent shut down. These layoffs were done too early.

Damn. Im sorry guys. I worked business accounts in another life and field techs were my lifeline. You guys were almost always the answer to a problem. You've never been appreciated enough.
The workload is massive however the wonderful us government gives perks to employers who use contract labor instead
The field layoffs I thought were the worst idea of all of them. There were a ton of sites added in this merger. I don't forsee them trying to do the Sprint model for field work because I've seen how bad ot is up close now. I literally saw a site down for over a week because of a part failure. If that is or future standard of quality, then this company is going to go down fast.
What region, I'm guessing you probably don't want to add what market.
Field technician are being replaced by contractors. Two contractors showed up on Monday we were told to find something for them to do, and train them.
We had a couple FT's let go today. Larger market.
I am one of the field tech layoffs. Won peak a few years ago but after moving to a toxic market, got papers yesterday.
Isn't there a shortage of Field Ops??? At least that's what they told us!
What market/region?
I'm a field tech they told me yesterday.
