Thread regarding MetLife Inc. layoffs

Weak Leadership

Anyone else have a boss that schedules one on ones but never shows up. Always too busy to join. I wish I could get the nerve to cancel out the whole series invite and if asked, explain that I'll accept again when he/she can decide if they are willing to devote the time and quit wasting my time. I'm sure this person will be promoted next month because that is how MetLife rolls. Somehow the weak always get ahead. Need to move ON!

I love it when canceled. Less time to have to fake it with bad boss

I did this. Manager didn't notice for 5 months. We don't have team meetings either. I'm not sure what he would do if his entire team quit today since I doubt he even knows what we do. On the bright side he's not micromanaging us.

You are not important and can’t do a thing that will help me going from an AVP to a SVP in 2 years.

My Manager forced 1:1's and all we did was small talk.

It was dreadful and a waste of time. But needed it on their calendar for their bosses!

Only "Favorites" get special treatment, promotions, jobs created for them.

More need to quit! The company is feeling it in "the market" as favorites are in roles they shouldn't be in and can't act strategic & the company is getting cheap and young hiring a ton with ZERO industry experience!

Even NA is feeling it.

Ask your Broker friends what the "really" think of Met!?!

Ah. Yes.

The meaning of the cancellation clear. "I'm important and your not."

There is someone in my chain that schedules a meeting several months out, and then moves it around. Always. Even if it is the whole group. What's the message? The message is, "I'm important and I can move a meeting around that the whole group planned for months in advance because I can."

It's one of the passive-aggressive games that some people like to play.
