Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Out of stock

I think the customers are getting wise to our out of stock issues. We keep telling them it’s the supply chain but other retailers have Brita in stock.
We have no coffee, soda stream canisters, pillows. It’s getting really bad.

When we are CONSTANTLY asked:

  • Are you closing?
  • Where’s all your stock?
  • Why are you making us go online/on the app?

We had a bad conversion day today because either things were too expensive or just out of stock! If we don’t have what they are looking for AMAZON WILL!! 😳😨 when will they begin to get it?? We’re drowning here thanks to stupid mistakes with inventory, where/how it’s made and deciding to purge 70 percent of it during a pandemic!! Just completely stupid!!

Don't forget about all the money they wasted on share buybacks instead of putting that money to better use to help the overall business, especially the inventory. They are all shady and will still be richer for it when they do close up shop.

I definitely think the company should be more transparent to us. We shouldn't have to read media stories about us not paying vendors and then putting 2 and 2 together.

So all this time BBB has been loading us with a bunch of BS- shipping problems when they can even pay vendors. Not saying that shipping problems weren’t an issue but stop with the BS already.
Try starting with the real truth- mismanaged BBB wasted money on useless stuff. Not a way to run a business.
Lying to employees- lying to customers
Lying to vendors
Just bad business altogether

Why waste leasing money on standalone Harmon stores? If there is a miracle and BBB survives they should incorporate Harmon into their stores like some already have. They already have BBB stores with a Harmon section in them and in the same plaza have a standalone Harmon store paying leases on both. How does that make any sense? It is too late now though.

Wait leave the holes? Is product not coming from the vendors? Or is that bill not paid either ?Is Harmon going down with bed bath or are they trying to sell that too? Who would buy Harmon anyway?

I think Welcome rewards will help us greatly . I went to Kohl’s with $25 in rewards and spent over $100. Hopefully our customers will be as d-mb as me and do the same.

We are all in liquidation already and no one is telling us 3 months left 6 months at best and that only depends on sales this quarter. It is very sad every day condescending and moving just like the last 2 stores as they both closed forever.depressing 🥲
