If you have not heard about it - Google it and get familiarized! This describes majority of Cisco employees (I think 50 to 70%) and (my guess) 90% of people who read/post here. By the way - there is nothing wrong with quiet quitting. And if you read, you will notice this is nothing specific to Cisco but a general trend

Quiet quitting is yet another millennial expression for something that really didn't need yet another expression.
I promise you this, your health and well being is far more valuable than any salary.
This.
Quiet quitting = the cisco work life balance Folks no one is going to tell you to take a day off or your doing too much and take it easy. Leadership like Maria and Thimaya don't give a $hit about any of you. They and many leaders like them will burn you to the ground if you let them. So you either quietly quit or look for a new job. I promise you this, your health and well being is far more valuable than any salary.
Quiet quitting is everywhere just that we don't know who is doing it. Quiet quitting is possible with remote work as there is no direct monitoring on the resources.
35% was number called out in opening session as percentage attending their first live IMPACT following 2 years of pandemic… equating that to ‘attrition’ is a stretch to say the least. Also the allusion that up to 90% of employees post/read here… hilarious … move on people, life is too short to be this negative
At impact, heard Attrition is at 35%. Looks like real quitting to me.
The chaos and constant change of directions is a symptom of psychopathy. It's a method psychopaths use to hide and obtain more power and control.
Grunt workers don't understand that chaos is strategically manufactured and is not intended to be mitigated.
Lots of people are "Loud Quitting" too> attrition is making many projects unsustainable. We work on something for 3 months and the leadership and all directions change. Does not seem sustainable. Do we have any plans that can help mitigate this???
No options / rsu / total reward package means the employee will either leave or quiet quit (and the latter is not wrong , you just do what you are paid to do, nada more)
Quiet quitting is the way to deal with the scenario at Cisco U.K. sales org. SE management is struggling to keep people with mass exodus in public sector team spiralling out of control. They are dumping workload on people, expecting them to do 2-3 people’s work for the pay of 1. Most, who can, are moving internally. some who are good , are simply resigning. Textbook definition of “quite quitting” scenario . Trying to do the minimum with astronomical workload being piled on.
This is a vicious cycle. Additional workload is eroding SE trust in management. This is distracting them from customer focus as they are busy desperately looking for a way out of the clutches of this toxic management. This is starting to affect business as customers are ripping out Cisco gear in favour of competitors, especially in case of wireless.
Cisco iT all outsourcing. No organic team, unless you consider the india.
This describes Cisco IT and Operations. A culture of naps and hiding
But don’t do it and then wonder why you don’t get promoted or get a sh---y bonus and merit.
