Funny, whenever I went to Anchorage for real business it was January and March. When I went on my own dime, in July, I avoided the office.

Most expensive fishing trips ever.
Good thing the company keeps cutting costs by laying people off. Gotta keep the really important types free to have their summer vacations in the last frontier doncha know.

It was absolutely crucial for each and every single one of those people (and their families and pets) to be present in Alaska to make important decisions that will lead to massive financial gains.

its hard not to want to do this when you see it from the top down and you know that the cost isn't coming out of your pocket, why not take advantage of the company coffers? If this were your personal company would you justify the expense, probably not? But if this is just fun money that will be spent some other way or disappear into the ether of shareholders and stock buybacks, sure why not have some fun with it.
