The few customers we have are laughing at us saying we are going out of business and want merchandise for free or cheap and want to use coupons.
Is the end really near?

that's nothing new; back when we did tiered and non tiered clearance, the customers would just wait for it to drop to 33%, 50%, 75%, and then the stacks and stacks of coupons. they've always wanted stuff for cheap or free

In my store the customers love BBB.
We signed up so many with Welcome Rewards Plus. If it was that bad would they still buy WRP knowing that we might be gone soon?
Once the B word gets out, it's like trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube. You'll see customers again once the GOING OUT OF BUSINESS signs go up. Meanwhile, they will vulture the place and wait.
