Thread regarding Norfolk Southern Corp. layoffs

Contract

The contract has expired, this one like the others is years behind. I wonder who that benefits? NOT the railroad workers.

Read some more into this deal. Carriers don’t give a damn about us. I mean sit down and go thru it. Here and there are shots to the gut. Just gotta find them.

$8.00/hr raise, but the company wants less than .50 cents of it back to cover increase in healthcare premium. So rail workers get no benefit from $7.50 raise…, because the carriers might keep indexing to 15% of plan costs well after 2024. $7.50/hr is still $300/week, even with record inflation my expenses are only up about $500/month. Outrageous and unacceptable!!! We must seize the means of production and divide all profits equally among all workers!!!
