It was a good quarter. ELT and other employees is on the same team. Team is called Cisco. Our comments toward ELT should be unbiased. Data driven. Ok to say it is bad to spend money on fancy rock/tv stars especially in bad times. But say good things when data shows good results. No point whining. Does not help giving nick names to ELT - like Trump does. If you do not agree with ELT say why in objective way.
I think ELT is doing well. Prevented layoffs. Good job. Bonus is not bad. I would give B+. If you want to compare it to ELT compensation do it with other companies' ELT teams. Keep positive attitude and enjoy stay at Cisco - however long it may be.

Threatening for a while
I think they wanted to get the buybacks done before the administration passes a law taxing it (which they have been threw for a while)
Objective fact: Cisco lags average tech sector growth by about 40-50%
I hope you're trolling. Else take a hard look at the actual numbers and compare with our competitors. Look at the crass amount spent on stock buybacks. There's nothing to be proud of.
