Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Rampant incompetence

It used to be rare for someone's position to greatly exceed his or her competence. Today, incompetence no longer surprises me at all.
Working here has been reduced to daily dealings with very self-confident mediocrities. How do you deal with mediocrity in this workplace?

Everyone with competence was fired. If they weren't then they left because of the insanely oppressive culture.

It's called QUIET QUITTING. Do as little as possible and ride the gravy train like the rest of the managers until either your number is called or you find something else better. The writing is on the wall here and noone gives a SHIAT anymore.
