What has Engine1 accomplished? Nothing as far as I can tell

Engine1 has changed nothing as far as I can tell. Everything we have done was already being planned.

OP They bought EM shares at 40 bucks and sold them at 105 bucks a few months ago. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. 250% return in a few months. Genius. And all this under the excuse of emissions. These guys are the gods of bu11sh1tting.

They got the good old boys to at least start organizing and talking about renewables and low carbon. That is a good achievement

I would say they have significantly shifted the long term view of where the company is going and what we need to do to go to net zero at some point in the future. To think you can change a company of this size in direct way in 2yrs is not realistic. This is a massive problem that has to be solved and being able to talk about it openly, evaluate each site and prioritize the baby steps to drive reductions is how the company will change.

Like all hedge funds, they are in it to make money. Once oil prices snapped back, they piped down. As long as Exxon is throwing off cash, all other concerns are out the window
