Untrue about the unvaxxed being the first to go. Some exemption were granted and some of those survived this round of layoffs. Those that traveled to protected states to work did so because they were the closest reasonable pick for that job.

There have been two rounds of layoffs over 2021-2022. At least one was quiet and the scope was smaller. Not sure if that was Disc but the new project is Pike for these reductions. The current layoffs were created months ago and halted from release by the spin off announcement.

Pretty loopsided reduction in actual
Workers versus “‘managers” (who
do not do work)

The separation management group is not at all appealing for
Leaders . The TTS a VP is a frog, literally
Not Sure how he was ever labeled High talent. He’s terrible and unliked. The men of
The new separation office all received new roles while the women all received “expanded roles”. D&I live and well right along with those Ethics awards 😂😂 I wonder if they still have a line item in next years budget to pay for those another year.

What’s up w Mars

Not all unvaccinated people were let go! This aggravates me as a 3M health care employee. The unvaccinated live in states where they are protected. So they got a religious exemption and they are working. Those that don’t live in protected states are flying too protected states to work increasing costs when others can’t even get a hotel room because of travel restrictions

Seems like EO is going to do the major restructuring after the Mars interview?

36 month plan to rescue the company, EO are making changes but the company is on the turn, everything depends on the 1 billion settlement and paying off the claims. The company cannot keep paying dividends that are nearly a dollar and a half going forward. New MMM and MMM Health will be fun to watch how the books are cooked next year

Looks like EO enforcing plant shutdowns across multiple sites... Q3 outlook certainly looks bleak.

Theyve been saying layoffs for almost a year now on here. Clearly people have no idea what theyre talking about. People are leaving in droves and the company is no longer top tier place to work, so why would there be layoffs? Get back to work people.

To the person who posted this.

You sir are a complete id--t. The people who are leaving in droves are young inexperienced people who have 3-10 years of work experience in the company. They are relatively a " low cost item" for the company.

Layoffs are typically targeted at 20 + years of experienced people in the company who are relatively " high cost item". Layoffs have happened for the last 4 years and will surely happen this year. Just a matter of time !!!

Yes, but it was only HCBg employees that were fired for not taking the shot.

It’s not just HCBG employees that didn’t get vaccinated. It’s all across the company.

Looking at the QOR projections things are looking real ugly.

My guess is any layoffs will be small and surgical so it does not make the news (HCBG employees who did not vax). I think the move will be to buy out all people with pension to rid of that liability, unless the lawsuits deplete before.

Has the current leadership ever taken a temporary pay cut to save jobs?

Layoffs are happening. People being moved to the unassigned list but no announcements. Execs are desperate for cash and aren't shy about showing their desperation.

I have wondering wondering how much of the sales reps work will be taken over by AI. As always with 3M, reality vs SFDC!
